Brick supports The Queer Brewing Project at this weekend’s London Craft Beer Festival

Brick Brewery Preferred Pronouns CanBrick Brewery, the craft brewer from South East London, has unveiled its latest collaboration with artist and beer writer Lily Waite of The Queer Brewing Project (TQBP). Preferred Pronouns is a Sour New England Pale Ale, which will also be the official beer of London Craft Beer Festival 2019 opening this weekend.

The Queer Brewing Project aims to see greater diversity, acceptance and visibility in the beer and brewing industries and part of Preferred Pronouns’ profits will be donated to Galop, the UK’s largest LGBTQ+ anti-violence charity.

“We make beers that are accessible to everyone by pushing boundaries and challenging perceptions. Creating a beer & brewing culture that is inclusive is completely part of Brick’s ethos, which is why we wanted to partner with The Queer Brewing Project. Using our presence at the London Craft Beer Festival as a launch platform is an excellent way to increase awareness and reach of the initiative within the beer community.” Says Ian Stewart founder of Brick Brewery.

The limited-edition is an innovative and fruity beer ideal for fans of hazy, juicy pales and sours. It is also the first sour made in the UK to use Strata, a hop coming from Oregon, US.

Ian Stewart, Brick Brewery Founder, said “We both wanted to create a highly drinkable sour which would display our combined brewing skills and include an exciting element for craft beer lovers visiting the festival. They are now able to discover the Strata hop used in a British beer for the first time and enjoy a tangy and refreshing drink ideal for the summer”. Lily Waite says “We really enjoyed partnering with the Brick team to create Preferred Pronouns. From recipe development to can design, we’re super proud of the result and excited to introduce it to beer fans while also raising funds for Galop during such a sociable event”.

The colorful and eye-catching can design was created by Lily who took inspiration from the sour’s exotic and summery notes.
